The MarketPlace Music 1st
Annual Evening of Elegance was truly an elegant, sophisticated,
classy and fun event for all invitees. The gala was held on
Friday, February 20th 2004 at the Marriott Hotel Lafayette
Ballroom in Trenton, New Jersey. Many luminaries from the
sports, business, entertainment and political arenas were
present. In addition, MarketPlace Music received an official
proclamation from New Jersey Governor, James McGreavey.Three primary goals were
achieved that night:
- MarketPlace Music was
introduced to the entertainment industry
- At a macro level, knitting
civic, entertainment and government leaders together through
music
- To honor two well-known
entertainment giants, with the first of MarketPlace Music's
annual "Good Samaritan Award"
This year, MarketPlace Music proudly honored:
- Jose Torres, Former
Light Heavyweight Boxing Champion
of the World
- Toya Beasley, Program
Director at 98.7 KISS FM
Additional highlights of the
evening included performances by artists Tatiana Segura and
Courtney Bradley. |
